Soon, here in the UK, Jubilee and Olympic fever will be upon us. Street parties, school events and exhibitions will be springing up all around the country. My youngest children go to a lovely church school, and one of the big events, and a great money spinner, is the cake sale. I found these lovely cupcake sets on Betty Twyford...a real must have if you, like me, will be baking for both big events.

I saw this charming Oxford shop on Remodelista. Objects of Use and as I am in the process of making projects out of Vintage blanketing for my next book Scrapbag Sewing, imediately fell in love with the Welsh Tapestry Blankets folded on these shelves. I wish I lived closer to Oxford as I love a great store front.

Lesley Evers has yet again come up with a collection that is so wearable. She brings together 50's classic style with a little touch of magic to brings the clothes bang up-to-date. Wish I could buy everything in the collection, but I can only have one...but which one!

This wonderful idea is from the blog of Gabrielle Blair designmom who I follow avidly on Facebook. Like me she has a big family, but still makes time to come up with some fab designs. This is what she's been working on for Valentines Day. I think they’re so cute. She had posted a pdf of the artwork on her site, which means all you have to do is find the animals...love it! Thanks Gabrielle, all my kids will be getting one this year x
