I saw this charming Oxford shop on Remodelista. Objects of Use and as I am in the process of making projects out of Vintage blanketing for my next book Scrapbag Sewing, imediately fell in love with the Welsh Tapestry Blankets folded on these shelves. I wish I lived closer to Oxford as I love a great store front.

Anthropologie offers a one-of-a-kind shopping experience that makes women feel beautiful, hopeful and connected. Started in 1992 in Pennsylvania USA, Anthropologie now have stores in the UK, a website and a mail order catalogue. If you appreciate innovation, artfulness and good design, you will absolutely love the clothes, shoes and housewares they are offering. It was difficult for me to pick the clothes to post here, as I love so many of the beautiful things they are offering!

I have fallen in love with this beautiful pottery, which is produced by husband and wife team, Philip and Heather Walton. Eden Pottery is on the Ards Peninsula in Northern Ireland. They use an amazing colour palette, and their designs are so pretty I want to own them all. I will definitely be adding one or two things to my Christmas present list this year!

I need a wooden ironing board to make an appearance in my next book, and as I am in the process of re-vamping my own laundry, I decided to buy one suitable for both jobs. It needs to be elegant, strong and adjustable to stand up to the thousands of items of clothing that pass through my laundry every year. Here are some of the best that I have found. John Lewis (top left) do a natural-wood board made from rubber-wood; Amazon sell a Kandu solid wood board with galv iron stand and a handy shelf for the iron underneath (bottom left); Pullymaid (bottom right) make a beautifully crafted solid beech board with a stainless steel iron rest, and I just love the blue metal French Laundry sign from Amazon - so cheap! I'm sure that my new board and sign will make my ironing-days a much nicer experience!
